Interview 1
Mr. Rachane Potjanasunthorn, Director-General, Department of Export Promotion (DEP)
To boost Thailand’s exports as well as to showcase the highlights of Thailand’s industries, the Department of Export Promotion of Thailand will be hosting two trade events – Bangkok RHVAC and Bangkok E&E 2009 in October. Being held concurrently at the same venue, the fairs allow industry players and visitors to gain the maximum benefits from the two-in-one deal. And, as always, the DEP places great importance not only on the latest in technological advances but is equally emphatic about energy efficiency and eco-friendly aspects of the products.
The Bangkok Refrigeration, Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning (Bangkok RHVAC) is a biennial trade fair organized by the Department of Export Promotion (DEP) of Thailand in collaboration with the Federation of Thai Industries, and strongly supported by

related government and private sectors, including ASHRAE Thailand Chapter. Being held for the seventh successful time, Bangkok RHVAC 2009 is themed, “Eco-Friendly Solutions For A Sustainable Future.”
Bangkok RHVAC has over the years grown to become recognized as among the top five trade fairs in the world. It is the second largest in Asia after China’s and remains the undisputed leader in target-specific trade shows in Southeast Asia.
Concurrently held at the same venue with Bangkok RHVAC 2009, Bangkok E&E 2009 will provide the best opportunities for manufactures and exporters to meet potential clients face-to-face for business discussions and negotiation. The profile of visitors ranges from electrical contractors to engineers, from OEMs to equipment manufacturers and from wholesalers to supply authorities. |

Interview 2
Mr. Arnon Simakuithorn
Advisor and Director of Air-conditioning and Refrigeration Club, the Federation of Thai Industries
Thai RHVAC products still have a competitive edge. Our main strengths are the ability to answer the needs of customers, with high quality standards, flexible order volume, as well as fast and on-time delivery.
Bangkok RHVAC 2009 is poised to draw a large number of trade visitors from around the globe. It is a great opportunity for manufacturers to gain orders by presenting all their strengths, especially the impeccable service, high standard and flexible order volume that can be adjusted to customer’s requirements. This can greatly help because during the current situation buyers tend to reduce their order volume and become more cautious in placing orders.

Interview 3
Mr. Phairat Uechooyos Chairman of Air-conditioning and Refrigeration Industry Club, FTI
“Thailand has long enjoyed a leadership position as one of the world’s leading air-conditioning and refrigeration manufacturers and exporters due to our constant efforts on product development to comply with international standards such as CE Mark of the European Union, UL of the USA, CCC of China, SASO of the Middle East and other directives of various international countries.”
“Bangkok RHVAC 2009 is designed to be a one-stop service center for buyers. Finished products and parts of any specifications are available at the fair. Moreover, our manufacturers are capable of taking special requirements and at customer’s required volume. I wish to invite manufacturers in the RHVAC industry to participate in Bangkok RHVAC 2009 in order to show their strength and turn the crisis into opportunity through the many benefits the fair has to offer.

Interview 4
Mr. Sumet Jiambutr
President of Thai Refrigeration Association
“Bangkok RHVAC 2009 serves as the core activity of the Refrigeration Industry, being the exclusive refrigeration trade show of Thailand and the most outstanding showcase in ASEAN, featuring the entire spectrum of high-quality and efficient refrigeration solutions.”
Business opportunities are wide open at Bangkok RHVAC 2009 considering Thailand’s strong position as one of the world’s leading refrigeration assemblers and equipment exporters, and the industry’s specialization in refrigeration process design and installation for dairy products, beverages, beer and others, all with professional human resources.

Interview 5
Katiya Greigarn, Ph.D.
Chairman of the Electrical, Electronics and Allied Industries Club (EEAIC)
The strength of the Thai electrical and electronics industry lies in its product quality, standard product durability, as well as on-time delivery of products. Our major export products include electronic parts such as PCBs and hard disks. The previous year saw Thailand reign as the world’s No.1 exporter of hard disks, enjoying 20% growth in the Chinese market alone.
Bangkok E&E 2009, which will be held in conjunction with Bangkok RHVAC 2009, will highlight super-efficient and energy-saving technologies that appeal to today’s prudent consumers. The event presents superb opportunities for manufacturers keen to expand their business, acquire new customers and increase their sales.

Interview 6
Mr. Charuek Hengrasmee President of Electrical and Electronics Institute (EEI)
Thailand is one of Asia’s leaders in eco-friendly manufacturing, with emphasis on global environmental directives such as RoHS, restricting hazardous substances in electrical and electronic appliances; WEEE, which sets standards on the proper collection, recycling and disposal of the discarded merchandise; along with the production of No.5 and green-labeled products.
EEI has planned to organize an international conference under the theme “Asia Goes Green” to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the institute, confirming Thailand’s green-manufacturing leadership as well as boosting the region to move towards completely eco-friendly manufacturing.
